Joe and I got back late Saturday night and had a wonderful time. Greece is wonderful...we highly recommend Santorini. It was really, really hard sending Joe to work this morning after being with him everyday for the past two weeks. I'm lonely! Now that we have had a chance to relax and reflect after our BIG FAT FABULOUS CHICAGO WEDDING on August 9, 2008, I wanted to drop a line of praise for BCB who was responsible for a truly wonderful weekend for us all. My daughter Maureen lives in Lincoln Park and I am in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, so we knew from the start a wedding planner would be helpful. Little did we know that we would find the most organized, creative, enthusiastic, unflappable, meticulous and fun person. From our first meeting, my daughter and I felt so comfortable with her and confident that everything was going to be great. Even my husband placed the utmost trust in her after he saw her Excel spreadsheets and detailed timelines! From choosing the reception venue to the last email about changing the bride’s name, working with BCB has been a true pleasure for us. There was not a single disagreement during our planning process because BCB found a way for us to compromise on every detail to make everyone happy.

Our wedding weekend was perfect from start to finish, even the comic scene when the trolley broke down at the church – there was another one there in minutes! Every vendor that we chose from your recommendations was great to work with. One thing we noticed was the way they all worked together so smoothly and seamlessly. From the caterer, florist and photographer to the hairdresser and makeup people, it is clear BCB has earned their respect and has good relationships with the best people in town.

I cannot tell you how many notes, emails, and phone calls we have had from friends and family telling us our wedding was the best one they’ve ever been to. People commented on how happy the bride and groom and their parents were and how much fun we were having at our own party and much of that bliss came from knowing we did not have a worry because we had you in charge! I will really miss our monthly meetings with you, but I know that I will see her again, because another bride who was at our party has hired her for next August. We can’t imagine having a wedding in Chicago without Big City Bride. She’s the best!

I just listened to your message - it was so nice to hear your voice! You've been such an active part of our lives over the past year; I've actually kind of missed you in the last two weeks since the wedding! So many people remarked after the wedding not only how beautiful, sincere, different, and authentic it felt, but also how clearly committed you were to making everything perfect. You and your team were there the whole time, taking care of everything, and people noticed. They were all extremely impressed. To their comments I responded, "You only saw her on the one day. You have no idea how amazing she is!" "Thank you" doesn't begin to express our deep appreciation, but we'll say it again, and again and again. We can't wait to plan our next big event (probably our 10-year anniversary party!) with you!
